We were guests of Nimet Taş, Director of ÇATOM (Kilis Multi-Purpose Community Centre) in order to decide on the by-products to be produced locally for the 'Illizi' (Kilis) series of the special olive oil collection, which was created in cooperation with the Anatolian Gold brand and Yesil Valiz Association for Responsible Tourism and will soon meet the consumers under the name 'Anatolian Gold Cultural Heritage Collection'.
In the meeting where Oylum Höyük Excavation Director Prof. Dr. Atilla Engin shared the ancient history of olive cultivation in the region in the light of the finds at Oylum Höyük with us, ÇATOM's trainers and trainees once again became aware of the cultural richness of the lands they live in.
At the meeting where we had the opportunity to examine the images of the excavation finds that will guide the designs of the additional products to be produced during the project, the handicrafts of Kilis left from the dowry of our dear teacher Mrs. Taş' mother and grandmother, and the samples prepared by ÇATOM Trainees regarding the olive theme.
